When we were building our first shop, a worker leveled the floor with stucco. In the afternoon sun, every mark he’d left had a tail. We took a photo. This plate is where the photo ended up. The ripples are wave equations laid over one another, and a subtle tint on one side of the arcs makes the plate look lit wherever you put it.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: Diameter approx. 229 mm; height approx. 47 mm.
  • Material: Porcelain, high-fired at 1260°C.
  • Finish: Clear gloss glaze; ripples with raised arcs; one side of each arc tinted.
  • Pattern: Arc layout can be varied on inquiry.
  • Use: A deep central well for pasta or rice, with ripples kept to the rim.
  • Packaging: Factory pallet or simple cardboard box available.
  • Care: Food-safe. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Rinses clean.
